Blacks in Bury St Edmunds, which is currently offering all stock at greatly reduced prices
Blacks Leisure, who operate 208 Millets stores and 98 Blacks stores around the country has appointed accountancy firm KPMG as administrator and will sell the company to a new buyer in the coming week.
Reports over the weekend suggest that JD Sports is set to buy the troubled chain which means it will have the chance to wipe out the current debt owned by the chain and close any shops that aren't making money.
Bury St Edmunds is well-served for outdoor clothing shops, with Cotswold and Mountain Warehouse already operating in the town.
On Saturday everything in the shop was heavily discounted and should the shop close it would join Barwells and Hawkin's Bazaar as shops that have closed in the town over the last three weeks.

ReportI heard that JD have now brought Blacks but are only going to keep the profit making stores open. Hopefully this means the one in Bury St Edmunds Arc will survive.
