Is the display still going ahead tonight.? I wondered if it would be cancelled due to the high winds expected?

Very good Matt - just checked the weather for Saturday and it could be a wet one. Light rain forecast for Saturday, heavy rain forecast for Saturday night.

I've always had a plan for Abbey Gardens events like this. Get a cheap dinghy and launch it off the little bridge that goes over the River Lark on Eastgate Street - you know, by The Fox pub. You can paddle around the corner in under a minute and it's your ticket for free entertainment for life!
Could anyone actually stop you doing this? I don't think it's breaking the law to be sitting in a dinghy on a river in the dark is it? Any thoughts?
