Snow in Nowton Park last year - we could see similar scenes in Bury St Edmunds again this week
The mercury on your thermometer will struggle to get above 0C this week and we've already seen sprinkles of snow in the Bury St Edmunds area.
For the last two years January in Bury has been an icy start to the new year but, so far in 2012 the temperatures have been above average for the time of year.
But, this week we're set to start February with a shock - temperatures are expected to not get any higher than 2C all week and at the moment it seems the weekend could be sub-zero all weekend.
While the snow and bad weather which is expected is sure to bring travel problems on the roads and rails, it will also bring beauty and fun for many.

No snow today but ground is pretty hard and some pavements are a tad slippery. We're braced for tomorrow though! Take care everyone!
