Burton / DP going ??
looks like the Burton and DP store in Bury will be closing in December , as the premises are available to let on property websites.. a real shame for the staff with their jobs , and also for the town , as Bury is fortunate to have an original 1930's Burton store intact . Built in an art deco style , Burton stores always had a pool or snooker hall on the first floor to give additional income plus all those men going past the shop window when the shop was closed ! this became a branch of Coral betting for many years before they moved out and the space used for DP . Have a look next time you pass by .. you can still see the opening comemmorative plaques . are they relocating in Bury ?
