Not only is the Library a year old on Tuesday, but the same day sees the 18-month anniversary of the arc opening in Bury - what do you think of it now? Is it an essential part of your shopping habits in Bury St Edmunds?

I would say the Arc HAS changed shopping habits in Bury St Edmunds. I can't remember what shopping in Bury was like before the Arc came along. I know lots of older people hate it though and refuse to shop there.

i love the arc! we needed more shops in the town for definate. although i do strongly feel that they could have made it better looking and alot more likable, especially debenhams - it sticks out like a sore thumb! i do like it but it looks too out of place in our town. i also think they should have stuck a roof over the damn thing so we dont get soaked when its raining!
before the arc i didnt shop in bury, id go to ipswich, norwich or cambridge. now i dont need to which i love.. one thing i dont love though is how busy it gets, especially if you need to park! they should have made the underground parking bigger - i say underground cause it would look better than putting a multi storey on the top of the carpark when there are the shops and the other multi storey over the road..
