Tord Gustavsen Ensemble at The apex

When renowned Norwegian pianist Tord Gustavsen brought his Trio to the Cathedral as part of the Bury Festival in 2007, it was for many people their highlight of the festival. This is music that draws you into a musical universe of tender lyricism and subtle groove. This extended ensemble is a natural progression of Tord's trio work, adding new colours and dimensions with some of the most intriguing players on the vibrant and eclectic Scandinavian jazz scene.
