AS YOU may have already read on BuryStEdmundspeople the annual Race For Life is taking place in Nowton Park on June 26th.

Race For Life, Nowton Park, Bury St Edmunds, June 26th
Like the past few years there will be two races one starting at 11.00am and and another at 2.30pm.
This years race will be the seventeenth to be held at Nowton Park. I will be taking part in the morning race as I think it is a great way for women to raise money for the charity Cancer Research UK.
This will be the fourth time I have participated and I love the atmosphere the race has with spectators cheering everyone on from the sidelines.
BuryStEdmundspeople wants to hear from anyone taking part in the Race this Year or read your experiences from years gone by.
The race is five kilometres long which is the equivalent to three miles. Obviously it is important that if you plan on jogging or running the race you do some training beforehand.
Do you have any training suggestions for me?
This year outdoor fitness experts Liberte Fitness will be carrying out a warm down at the end of the the two races. I hope that will mean no aching limbs for me the next day !!!
