Valley Connection is certainly the most glamorous Indian restaurant in Bury St Edmunds – if you’re after a stuffy curry house with Indian music, an old fashioned carpet and some dodgy artwork on the wall then you won’t find it here.
Instead, Valley Connection is an air-conditioned Indian with modern lighting and really great staff. They were so attentive when I went that we nearly ordered most courses twice. The food itself is great, with a huge range. Price wise, well, it does border on the upper limits of what you would expect to pay - £7.50 for a lamb shaslik, £10.95 for king prawn balti but that’s the price of such quality.
There’s also a wide range of Bangladeshi cuisine which is good, as some of the staff come from Bangladesh. If you’re not sure what to order, there’s set meals which cost £33.95 for two people and £64.95 for four people.
VC can be contacted on 01284 753161 and they’re open seven days a week.
